Falcons club wins swimming event

FALCONS Swimming Club won the 2018 Bulawayo Coaches Choice Gala held at the Bulawayo City Pool on Saturday.

The club amassed 194 points followed by Barracudas Swimming Club with 162 points. Penguins Club got 149 points, while Affiliated Crusaders Swimmers came fourth with 145 points.

School of Swimming came fifth with 89 points, Stingrays Swimming Academy managed 81, while BG Dolphins and Zambesi Tigers had 49 and 19 points respectively.

Matabeleland Swimming Board (MSB) secretary Nokuthula Cyprianos said swimmers competed in 15 events.

“The tournament was a success with some swimmers clocking qualifying times for national events. The tournament was meant to give our swimmers opportunities to make qualifying times so we are glad that some managed to clock those times,” said Cyprianos.
