The boy, Kudakwashe Makumbe, is a Grade Five pupil at Mabhukudwane Primary School in Nkulumane.
Narrating her story to Chronicle on Friday, Mrs Ednes Chimusoro, Kudakwashe’s aunt, said they had searched for him everywhere and did not get any joy.
“We went to the school looking for him and his friends said they last saw him on 15 July when he was chased away for non-payment of fees and no one knows his whereabouts,” said Mrs Chimusoro.
The distraught Mrs Chimusoro said Kudakwashe was last seen wearing a navy blue pair of trousers, a khaki shirt and a green sweater.
“I cannot sleep or concentrate on anything. I am worried because he is still a little boy and anything can happen to him and we do not know how he is surviving wherever he is,” she said.
Mrs Chimusoro said she made a report to police after searching for her nephew and the police promised to help her.
“I have made a report to the police and they promised to help me. All my relatives are now worried since he was staying with me.
“I am appealing to anyone with information that may help us to locate him to contact me on 0772 642068 or 0713762161 or visit the nearest police station. They can also visit us at House Number 1735 Nkulumane 5 along Indaba Road,” said Mrs Chimusoro.
