THE family of slain crack female detective squad member Team Lozikeyi, Cassandra Hove, has released a statement confirming that she was not killed by a bullet fired by robbers.

Hove, a left-handed sniper, was tragically killed on Thursday night during a shootout with robbers whose identities are yet to be revealed. She was 37 years old.

“The family of Cassandra Hove is deeply shocked and troubled by the tragic circumstances surrounding her death. While we initially received conflicting reports, our recent meeting with ZRP Bulawayo has confirmed that a fellow police officer, and not armed robbers, was involved in this devastating event,” read the family’s statement, which was released by Mr Ryan Gambinga.

He said the family was devastated by the new information and called for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth and bring closure to the matter.

“This revelation raises profound questions and intensifies our grief. We are committed to uncovering the complete truth and ensuring that justice is served. As we mourn the loss of our beloved daughter, we demand a thorough and transparent investigation,” said Mr Gambinga.
