The family of Ndumiso Mnkandla in Bulawayo is marking three years since his mysterious disappearance in January 2022, and their search for answers continues.

Ndumiso, who worked at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, left for work one day and never returned home, leaving his family deeply concerned.

His sister, Senelisiwe Mnkandla, expressed the family’s ongoing worries, stating, “We are really worried about where he disappeared to. He just walked up one day, went to work, and never came back home.”

Ndumiso was not only a dedicated worker but also an avid writer, known for his ability to inspire those around him. Senelisiwe described her brother as a source of encouragement for the entire family, saying, “He always had a way with words that motivated us.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his disappearance, Senelisiwe and the rest of the family remain hopeful. “We still hold onto the hope that one day, we will receive information about his possible whereabouts,” she added, emphasizing their commitment to continuing the search for Ndumiso.

As the third anniversary approaches, the Mnkandla family continues to seek support from the community in their quest for answers and closure.
