MUSIC fans will be spoilt for choice at this year’s edition of the OK Grand Challenge Race Day Concert as superstar Jah Prayzah is billed to lead an array of top artists on Saturday.
The lanky star will share the stage with the likes of rising songbird Feli Nandi and chanters Nutty O and Dadza D.
Organisers have also included a host of Chillspot artists, who will be led by their colourful and vastly popular frontman, DJ Fantan.
Wheel-spinner Abisha Palmer is also part of the event.
Jah Prayzah, who is not new to the OK Grand Challenge Race Day Concert stage, has called on all his fans to be part of the event.
“OK Grand Challenge, like we do every year, let’s do it again this weekend,” he posted on his social media platforms.
It goes without saying that whenever the musician performs at such public events, he always creates unforgettable experiences.
With a backing live band, the Chiremerera hit maker is likely to bring the house down.
OK Zimbabwe marketing director, Stanley Meck, is optimistic this years’ event will leave lasting impressions.
“With a purse valued at over US$1 million, and supported by over 40 different household Zimbabwe brands, the OK Grand Challenge has held its own against a tough year for formal retail business,” said Meck.
He said this year’s challenge expanded its reach to at least 60 participating outlets, including OK Mart shops and over 50 vehicles are up for grabs, including the grand prize, a Ford Ranger XLT double cab.
Running under the theme: “OK Grand Challenge, Where the Nation Shops and Saves”, this year’s challenge was launched in April with shoppers required to spend at least US$10 or more at participating OK outlets or spend US$100 at OK Mart shops.
ZUPCO accredited buses will ferry people for free from OK First Street, OK Mbuya Nehanda and 4th Street bus terminus between 8am and midday on Saturday.
Adults will be charged US$2 and US$1 for children.
