Fans vent anger on ‘Diamond Boy’

sired a 10-month-old son, Pfumai.
Most people sympathised with Adiona saying the affair was doomed to fail since Munyaradzi was dishonest from the outset.

Chidzonga confirmed the break-up to The Sunday Mail at the weekend saying the affair was not “working”.
“It is true that we separated. It was not working and there is no specific reason for the separation,” he told The Sunday Mail.

Munyaradzi said the break-up was amicable and described Adiona as ” a great person”.
“It happens with any other break-up when you both realise that this is not going the way it is supposed to be. She is still a great person.”

The split, however, did not come as a surprise considering Munya’s irresponsible behaviour while he was still in the reality series Big Brother All Stars.
Munya and Adiona have been shacking up since he came back from the BBA house. Only last late year, Munya promised to formalise his relationship with Adiona, but that never materialised.

Munya who christened himself the “Diamond Boy”, used to flirt with Angolan ex-housemate turned singer Tatiana.
The romance could have cost the “rough Diamond Boy” a fortune after coming second in the series.

Following the story in The Sunday Mail there has been a slew of criticism on the paper’s website.
Keresenzia said: “Warasika . . . waakunakirwa nemari yekupihwa. (You have lost control because of the money that was donated to you)”

Another fan, Baba VaNgwarai, noted: “A fool and his money are soon parted. Don’t think success comes through windfalls.”
Hazvi said Munyaradzi will live to regret the break-up adding he shouldn’t have moved in with her without paying a cent.

” . . . idiot you think you can stay nemwana wevanhu usina kubisa roora, uri ani iwe, mboko yemunhu.”
“What goes around comes around, mari inopera boy uchamufunga (Adiona). Apa waratidza urombe hwako hwese,” said Hoza.

Another posting which purportedly came from Uti, the ultimate winner of Big Brother All Stars from Nigeria who happened to be Munya’s stiffest challenge, read:
“Abeg abeg abeg abeg, go to Tatiana.”

Another thing that angered fans was the admission by the Diamond Boy that he didn’t believe in lobola, the African tradition of paying bride price.
Munya’s rise to fame came after his stint in Big Brother Africa season five in which he finished third after blundering in the home stretch of the reality series.

He was to bounce back in Big Brother All Stars last year, sadly, though Africa backed him from the start to finish, the temperamental housemate lost to Nigeria’s Uti Nwachwuku, who won the US$200 000 grand prize.

Seeing that Zimbabwe had been robbed of victory, a group of businessmen raised a whopping US$300 000 and gave it to Munya for his effort in the reality show.
Later, he released his first ever feature action film titled Lobola, which left critics questioning whether Munya was acting or just being himself.
