2020 started off as a normal year with the usual celebrations taking place on December 31 till the second day of the year.
Little did we know that the goal was survival and not growth, money or any other forms of achievement?
A few state that the year has turned out to be a complete lesson about relationships, friends and family, whereas some might argue that it has proven the main goal in life is merely survival not material acquisitions.
It’s nearly the end of the year and the majority of young people is really clueless. In the City of Kings, teenage pregnancies have rocked the classroom as writing classes seem to have somehow along the way lost hope of writing examinations and on living to see the next day.
Due to pessimism, boredom and maybe a lack of guidance, as most people did not get the needed awareness as to how best they can continue with their lives, some of the things people had to go through may be unbearable and shocking to many, especially parents.
The coronavirus pandemic is continuing to cause havoc and confusion as it is still uncertain whether things will go back to normal or whether safety precautions, which include lockdowns and curfews need to be reintroduced.
With the recent reopening of restaurants, clubs and other public places, the majority of people are filled with so much positivity, joy and hope for a return to normal — a normal without social distancing, masks and curfews.
However, is the pandemic really over or the whole world has been misled by decisions of countries such as the United Kingdom, America and others to continue with their day-to-day activities under the illusion that safety precautions will be practised, especially in public places such as the workplace, restaurants, clubs and gaming zones?
What safety measures can one take at a restaurant, club or gaming zone though? The overwhelming evidence shows how clueless the world seems to be on how best to move on from this unexpected crisis. With the reopening of schools, students are also advised to take appropriate precautionary and necessary measures in order to tackle this devastating pandemic that no one seems to have solutions to.
