ARSENAL are officially halfway through their Premier League campaign having amassed a sensational 50 points in 19 games.

The Gunners have dropped just seven points since the season kicked off in August.

Mikel Arteta’s men have also eclipsed the club’s famous 2003/04 Invincibles team midway through the term as Arsene Wenger’s side had just 45 points after 19 games.

They went on to lift the trophy without losing any of their 38 matches albeit while drawing 12 times.

And this current crop of Arsenal players have put themselves in a superb position to win the club their first title in 19 years.

But where does their tremendous start rank in Premier League history?

Well, they may be ahead of the Invincibles, but they are still just fifth on the all-time list at this stage of the season, according to Sky Sports.

Unsurprisingly, Man City’s 2017/18 side sit top of the tree.

They had amassed 55 points at the midway point and went on to make history by reaching the 100-point mark with a final day victory.

Jurgen Klopp’s men picked up 55 points in a remarkable first half of the season, before eventually finishing on 99.

Then come Chelsea’s 2005/06 team who were on 52 points after 19 matches. Jose Mourinho’s men marched to a second successive title with a finishing points total of 91. The Sun.
