IF Precious Sibalo believes in fate then there is something special about the number 17 in her life.

Her extraordinary rise to become a commercial pilot is a beautiful and inspirational tale.

And, one number, 17, appeared to be walking with her throughout her journey.

Her mother Cathrine was 17 when she was born.

Her mother left her under the care of grandparents when she went to work in South Africa.

Precious was 17 when her mother died.

She was also 17 when, just like her mother, she gave birth to her daughter.

Seventeen years into the New Millennium, in 2017, Precious started her studies to become a commercial pilot.

Religious experts say the number 17 is associated with victory, the restoration of all things, spiritual perfection, and perfect order, things which Precious can relate to in her amazing adventure.

Joseph was sold as a slave by his brothers at the age of 17 but he eventually celebrated victory over them.
