Father murders son

POLICE are investigating a murder case in which a 46-year-old Mudzi man allegedly assaulted his 13-year-old son to death for stealing money from him.

Circumstances are that on January 23 this year, the victim allegedly stole US$10 from his father and went away.

“He returned home on February 1 claiming that he had gone to a local business centre,” said the police in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

“The suspect then took a hosepipe and assaulted the victim all over the body several times leading to his death. Investigations are underway.”
