Father rams into stationary bus, kills son

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy died on Saturday in a car accident after his father, who was the driving a Mitsubishi Canter, rammed into a bus which was parked at TM bus stop in Sakubva.

 

Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, said the deceased, Tadiwanashe Tengende, died upon arrival at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

 

“Sydney Dengende of Matondo Village was driving a Mitsubishi Canter truck, registration number AET9410 along Mutare-Chimanimani Road when he rammed into a bus which was parked at TM bus stop around 4am. He was accompanied by his two sons including the deceased.

 

“He hit the bus from behind and the deceased was trapped inside the vehicle. He was later retrieved by Fire Brigade before being rushed to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital where he died upon arrival,” said Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka.
