A HARARE man took his four sons to court accusing them of collecting and squandering rental money.
Mathew Dangarembizi is angry with his sons – Tafirenyika Dangarembizi, 53, Lloyd Dangarembizi, 50, Wilson Dangarembizi, 39, and Prince Dangarembizi, 32.
He applied for a protection order against them, which was granted by magistrate Tamara Chibindi.
The children were ordered to stop insulting, abusing and intimidating their father, or collecting rentals, without his permission.
Mathew accused his sons of being rude.
“Your Worship, my children are collecting rentals secretly.
“Wilson insulted me using obscenities and Lloyd threatened to axe me.
“Chokwadi mwoyo yavo yakaoma vana ava,” said Mathew.
He added:
“I no longer want them to stay with me because it is a workplace.
“It’s someone else’s plot, but the rentals are mine.”
In their defence, Tafirenyika, Lloyd, Wilson and Prince denied the allegations.
“We are collecting rentals because we want to purchase a stand for him so that he will have accommodation when he is longer working,” said Prince.
“We agreed to collect his rentals and used US$750 after he got violent.
“We also used the other money for school fees for our cousin sister and pay the garden boy.
“Since he said he no longer wants us at the plot, I want him to pay me because ndaichengeta mombe ndisingabhadharwe cent,” said Wilson.
