FC Platinum in big win

FC PLATINUM began the defence of their league title with an emphatic 6-1 win over new boys Tenax at Mandava yesterday.

Youthful striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scored a brace while Pure Platinum Play got the other goals from Donald Teguru, Innocent Mucheneka, Brian Banda and Oscar Bhebhe from the spot.

Tenax got their consolation from Farai Mugumwa. Elsewhere, CAPS United, who were under the guidance of stand in coach Tonderai Marume, played to a goalless draw against ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga.
