FC Platinum mourns Highlanders executives killed in road accident

FC Platinum Football Club has conveyed its heartfelt condolences to Highlanders Football Club following the tragic deaths of chairman Kenneth Mhlophe, vice chairman Sifiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, who died in a road traffic accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Road on Thursday night.

In a statement released on Friday, FC Platinum said it stood in solidarity with the Highlanders family during the difficult period, describing the loss as a devastating blow to Zimbabwean football.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased, the Highlanders executive, players, supporters and the entire Highlanders community during this difficult time,” the club said.

FC Platinum said it hoped the bereaved families and the Highlanders fraternity would find strength and comfort in the memories shared with the three club leaders.

“May you find strength and comfort in the memories you shared with them and may their souls rest in eternal peace.

“Go well, Gentlemen. You will be deeply missed,” the statement read.

The deaths of Mhlophe, Siziba and Khoza have sent shockwaves through the local football fraternity, with clubs, football administrators, players and supporters continuing to pay tribute to the trio for their contribution to Highlanders and Zimbabwean football.
