Mukonyora has shot more than 100 videos locally and produced a television show in Denmark called “Night Life in Denmark”.
“I never used to watch Zimbabwean videos because of the poor quality but now that we understand how to shoot quality videos in High Definition it has since changed for the better.
Our videos are now of international standards,” said Mukonyora of Angel Arts, his production house.
Although he is not known locally, the 28-year-old Mukonyora returned home from Denmark where he studied Masters in Film Making at Denmark Film School and already he has done enough to change the video quality on ZBC/TV screens.
Some of the videos he directed and produced include Stunner’s “Godo”, Winky D’s “Taitirana” and Nox’s “I Love You” which is being played on popular satellite television station Channel O.
Mukonyora was confident of his work since he worked with a couple of renowned gurus in the arts scene such as Denmark’s celebrated outfit KNA, Connected, TOK, Lloyd, Bobby V, Mario and the Outlaws all from the United States of America.
“My work speaks for itself and I’m actually short of words to describe the success since I came back from school. As a man who has been working with renowned and celebrated musicians from the US and some parts of Europe I told myself that I want to change Zimbabwean standards,” he said.
Arguably one of the best music video producers at the moment, Mukonyora has introduced a number of programmes with a difference.
He is riding high with a new television show called “Zim Punk’d” that is being shown on ZBC/TV not mentioning a host of urban grooves videos he has directed in the past year. He is polishing up a teen movie called “Monalisa” due for release later this year, but he said the movie would première in the UK.
Angel Arts was formed in 2009 and produced television shows that attracted a host of celebrities from Europe and the US.
