Mi Casa heads to Harare

The house group is doing well across the Limpopo as well as locally where they have a huge following.
That said, our very own Winky D is known for upstaging foreign groups with such acts as Jamaican Popcaan being beaten to it by the Ninja President.

May 7 Entertainment spokesperson Max Mugaba said they have done the paperwork for the group which will stage a one-off show before Good Friday.
“The group is very reputable in South Africa. This is an early Easter present for revellers. The band will usher in fans into Easter with style,” he said.

“Mi Casa is one of the most sought-after musical groups in South Africa. We thought that by hosting the group, we could give Zimbabwean music lovers an Easter Eve’s treat,” said Mugaba.

He added: “We have signed the contracts and we are currently working on other paper- work and engaging supporting acts, although we already have our targets.
“We have so far confirmed Winky D, Nox Guni and Cindy Munyavi among others as supporting acts.”
Mi Casa is a house music band based in Johannesburg consisting of three members.

The band was formed in early 2011 and a few months later, they released an album titled “Mi Casa Music”, which soon went gold and won several awards at the 18th Annual MTN South Africa Music Awards in 2012.

The band received a lot of attention from the public in late 2011.
Their hit single, “These Streets”, was taken from the album.

It was not long before the band was on every major South African radio and music video chart at number one, where it remained for weeks.
The band went on to open for a number of major international acts, including The Layabouts, Reel People, Tortured Soul and YMCMB hip-hop and rhythm-and-blues sensation Drake.

Their second single from the album, “Heavenly Sent”, also made every major South African radio and music video charts, and earned them South African Music Awards nominations for “Best Dance Album”, “Album of the Year”, “Group of the Year”, “Newcomer of the Year” and “Record of the Year”.

The band went on to release their third single, “La Vida”, which included a 3D animated music video. This track was remixed by British house producer Atjazz.
