IT’S been a long time coming for Simba Bhora goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga who will make his first Castle Lager Premiership appearance for the club when they host ZPC Kariba at Wadzanai tomorrow.
The champions are preparing for this clash without two influential players in their defensive unit, who are out on suspension.
Goalkeeper William Thole and defender Isheanesu Mauchi will not take any part in this fixture due to suspension.
Mauchi’s suspension is a self-inflicted setback, as he was struck by a moment of madness.

Mateyaunga, the former CAPS United ‘keeper, knows what keeping a clean sheet means.
All eyes will be on him at Wadzanai, where the champions have avoided a loss this campaign.
The two sides settled for a goalless draw the last time they met at Nyamhunga in the reverse fixture.
Simba Bhora are just a point behind leaders MWOS, who are leading the championship race with 37 points.
“We have a strong squad with a lot of talent, everyone is equally good, and it’s just a matter of who’s playing,” said Mateyaunga.
“It’s sad to go into this fixture without some of the guys who have been getting the job done but it’s also an opportunity for others to step up.
“Football is a game of pressure but I think I’m ready for the challenge because I’ve dealt with pressure at Dynamos and CAPS United.
“So, I think I know what this moment means for the club.
“I have to play my role when I get the chance. Everyone knows the result that’s needed by our fans and there’s never any room for excuses, especially when we’re playing at home.”
ZPC Kariba are on 25 points and have five wins, 10 draws and three defeats.
Interestingly, they are just five points away from the relegation zone and three points off the top four spot.
ZPC Kariba are winless in their last four matches, as they have registered three draws and a loss.
