Fire guts MSU Zvishavane Campus hostel

Some property was damaged when a fire broke out at a house used as a hostel by students at the Midlands State University (MSU) Zvishavane Campus.

Zvishavane Town Council chief fire officer, Mr Albert Machara confirmed the incident which occurred on Sunday afternoon.

He said no significant damage to property was reported. A few furniture items were damaged by the fire.

“We reacted swiftly and managed to put out the fire and the damage was minimal,” he said.

Mr Machara said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
