First Lady donates to Chimanimani households

AT least 2 000 households in Charleswood and Machongwe areas of Chimanimani District were today (Tusaday) left smiling after receiving food from the First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa through her Angel of Hope Foundation.
Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Nokuthula Matsikenyere handed over the donation on behalf of the First Lady.
Speaking at the occasion, Cde Matsikenyere, said: “Amai Mnangagwa has always been concerned about the people of Chimanimani since the days of Cyclone Idai. She has been visiting this place on several occasions and we as the people of Chimanimani we are grateful to have such a caring mother. We pray that God gives her the gift of long life so that she continues touching people’s hearts through her philanthropic works.”
The donation comprise maize-meal, cooking oil and soya mince.
In Machongwe area, 1 100 households benefited from the donation, while 900 households in Charleswood also benefited.
Both areas were badly affected by Cyclone Idai.
