First Mutual brings cheer to Rose of Sharon

FIRST Mutual Wealth Management, a subsidiary of First Mutual Holdings Limited last week donated groceries to Rose of Sharon Children’s home in Marlborough, Harare.

Speaking at the occasion, general manager Mr Max Ncube appreciated the sterling work being done at the home looking after the children while encouraging other corporates and individuals to come together and assist such charity organisations.

FMHL has a robust corporate social responsibility programme whose focus is on education.

FMHL, through its First Mutual Foundation corporate social responsibility vehicle provides orphans and vulnerable children with education and material support to reintegrate into formal school working through its partner World Education Inc in this initiative.

Currently, the total number of primary and secondary school children supported to date is 110. In addition, the foundation is assisting selected university students studying medicine, risk insurance and commerce respectively at local tertiary institutions.

Director of Rose of Sharon Children’s Home Dr F. Maruta acknowledged the kind gesture exhibited by First Mutual during this festive season “of giving and sharing with the less privileged members of the society.”

First Mutual Holdings Limited, through its subsidiaries, continues to explore ways of improving the lives of the less privileged in the community within which it operates.
