Five-a-side extends deadline

THE Bulawayo Five-A-Side Football Association has extended the registration deadline by clubs to July 31.
Philani Banda, the chairperson of the association, confirmed that the league had nine teams which was below their expectations.He said they were comfortable with more clubs which will increase the players’ base in the city.

“We have received registration documents from only nine teams and we have extended the deadline to the last day of the month to give those  who have not yet registered time to come forward and register their teams,” said Banda.

Meanwhile, action resumed last  weekend in the league with Wangu Wangu humiliating third placed Amabhubesi with a 7-3 win in which Muzingaye Ncube  scored his first hattrick for Wangu Wangu.

Results

Amabhubesi FC 3-7 Wangu Wangu, Fox FC 7-6 Nust FC, Roma FC 7-14 Amabhubesi FC, Nust 5-4 Fog Star, St Andrews 0-0 Munyoro United.
