A LEADING hotel yesterday donated some blankets, linen and towels to orphans and an old People’s Home.

Rainbow Towers handed blankets, sheets and towels to three beneficiaries — PC Foundation, Bumhudzo Old People’s Home and Melfort People’s Home — during the closing ceremony of the Good Deeds Day Africa Regional conference.

Hotel executive housekeeper, Isaac Gopito, handed over the donation to representatives of the beneficiaries.

“We are saying thank you for trusting in us and we would like to extend our hand to the less privileged during this winter season,” said Gopito.

Representatives from about 40 African countries witnessed the donation.

The conference ended yesterday.

Some of the topics discussed included developing strategic partnerships with State actors, corporate organisations and civil societies, reforestation, recycling and resilience.

Local musician Dudu Manhenga and some traditional dance groups provided entertainment.
