Flying Stars focus on giving their best

THE BULAWAYO Christian League outfit Flying Stars juggernaut has continued to smash through opponents and is eager to set records.

Flying Stars has played 17 games this season winning 12 games, recording a stalemate in three games and losing one.

However, the Madhuku-led side is facing stiff competition from Eagle Life who managed to overtake them after playing a game more last weekend.

Eagle Life has so far managed to win 13 games and lost four.

Both teams sit at the apex of the log with 39 points.

Madhuku highlighted that he was unperturbed by Eagle Lifea��s current position at the summit of the log as his focus was on setting a record this season by clinching the title.

a�?We are focusing on the goal we set at the beginning of the season. I urged the boys to work hard so that we maintain our position at the summit of the log,a�? he said.

However, he admitted that a thorny path lies ahead of them in their quest for the title.

a�?Eagle Life and Spirit Filled Ministries have performed well this season. Sangano is also in the title race. These teams are the major obstacles standing in our way but we will do our best to get maximum points so that we stay ahead of them,a�? said Madhuku.

In other matches, Eagle Life Assembly baptised Grace Christian Church 2-1, while Rising Stars beat Saints 2-1.

Victory Fellowship managed to get themselves a 2-1 victory over House of Prayer whereas Brethren in Christ Church (BICC) beat Assemblies 3-2.
