YOURS Truly wanted to devote acres of space to this other money transfer outlet in the Central Business District whose young female employees think they are the best thing that has ever happened to womanhood.
The way that these young women treat their clients is not professional at all. Depending on how they judge the client, they can frown upon innocent clients, talk in a disrespectful manner, as if it is crime to seek money transfer services at this outlet.
In fact, they have this weakness of thinking that every other male client who approaches their counter wants more than just the money transfer service. All those who have visited this outlet, located near a bank that has a stonewall, will attest to this. Can someone remind these uncouth young women that their income depends on the same people they disrespect.
Anyway, Blabber thought it wise to take time, as the year comes to an end, to remember some of the legends that we lost along they, this year and years gone by.
First things first!
We start with the recent demise of a well-known city car dealer whose demise left a somber and emotionally charged atmosphere hanging over that other suburb whose name has something to do with water. The boy died in a horrific road accident that occurred in one of our leafy suburbs.
Blabber will not talk about his well-known weakness for sweetness because as Africans, we believe that we should never say bad things about the dead.
Tears have barely dried on the cheeks of those who were close to that other businessman turned politician who lived in a nearby peri-urban area where he operated a lodge and a small bar apart from his transport business.
He loved that popular African musical beat that is usually associated with central parts of our continent.
He also died in a horrific car accident.
Like I said before, Blabber will not talk about his insatiable sexual appetite because as Africans, we believe that we should never say bad things about the dead.
Who has forgotten about this other bouncer whose nickname had something to do with soldiers.
Yes, the one who died under mysterious circumstances after a short illness, and his funeral was marked by dramatic scenes all because of his popular girlfriend’s theatrics.
Once again, Blabber will not talk about his insatiable sexual appetite because as Africans, we believe that we should never say bad things about the dead.
Even though we have so many of them, Blabber quickly remembered the other legends who passed on a few years ago, and the boys were known by almost everyone in the city because these were ballers in the days when we had the precious stones at our disposal.
There is this other one, the one with the biggest profile among them all, who will be long remembered for bringing a popular USA RnB group to the city
And then there is this other one, whose first name had something to do with refusal or not ever. We all remember that the boy was a ‘superdad’ as seven of his ‘known’ children from five different women were paraded at this funeral.
The ever-controversial boy hogged the limelight when he tied the knot at a local hotel in the dead of the night for fear of disruptions from some of his several concubines. Blabber will not judge and therefore will not go into detail about the shenanigans of our departed colleagues, simply because as Africans, we believe that we should never say bad things about the dead.
We can only tell our legends to continue resting in power!
