The widow of former President Canaan Banana – Janet Banana – has died aged 83, the family has confirmed.
She succumbed to kidney-related complications this morning at Mater Dei Hospital in Bulawayo, and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
Family representative Ms Priscilla Misihairambwi–Mushonga confirmed the death.
“She passed on this morning at Mater Dei Hospital in Bulawayo after a long battle with kidney-related complications,” she said.
“Burial arrangements will be communicated. The family is yet to meet for those arrangements.”
