FOUR carjackers have been arrested after they recently attacked a taxi driver they had hired in the city to take them to Glen Lorne.

The incident occurred on March 28, 2026, in Chishawasha.

Police have since managed to track down the suspects and recover the vehicle, a Toyota Aqua.

The suspects are Tatenda Maziva (35), Vincent Karonga (32), Lee Maxin (40) and Langton Sekera (46).

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “The suspects were arrested in connection with a carjacking incident that occurred in Chishawasha on March 28, 2026. The suspects allegedly hired the complainant from Harare Central Business District to Glen Lorne.

“Along the way, the suspects attacked the complainant, robbed him of his valuables and dumped him near Mothercare in Chishawasha before driving off in his Toyota Aqua,” he said. “The stolen vehicle was later tracked, leading to the arrest of the suspects.”
