FOUR FOR UNSTOPPABLE PASUWA

CALLISTO Pasuwa won his FOURTH straight league title as he led Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets to a 3-1 win over Moyale Barracks 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Zimbabwean tactician has now won EIGHT straight league titles in the EIGHT seasons he has been in charge of a top-flight side in his coaching career.

It’s very likely that Pasuwa has now set a record which deserves a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

A double from up-and-coming striker Lanjesi Nkhoma and defender Gomezgani Chirwa’s late goal at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre did the job for Bullets.

Llyod Njaliwa scored the consolation goal for the visiting soldiers of Moyale from Mzuzu.

The wins mean Bullets next matches against Karonga United and Dedza Dynamos are merely academic.

Bullets took their tally to 67 points, eight points ahead of second placed Blue Eagles.

Each team has two games each to wind up the season in the 16-member league.

Pasuwa took a brief break after leaving Dynamos before crossing the Zimbabwe border to join Bullets in 2018.

Bullets increased their title prospects after defeating Wakawaka Tigers 2-0 in Blantyre on Wednesday to move five points clear of second-placed Eagles.

The defending champions have two games to wrap up the season. – Sports Reporter/FARPost
