SUBURBS, Old Miltonian Club, Christian Brothers College (CBC) and Holiday Inn will be used for the Squash Federation of Africa Seniors Championship to be held in Bulawayo from October 14-21.
The championship, which is making a return after a nine-year absence, will be contested by 15 countries, Botswana, DRC, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zanzibar and hosts Zimbabwe.
The championships used to be known as the All-Africa Seniors Championships and were last held in 2013 in Namibia.
Lucky Mlilo, Squash Rackets Association of Zimbabwe (SRAZ) president, said Suburbs will be the command centre.
Mlilo said England-based World Squash Federation president Zena Wooldridge and WSF chief executive officer William Louis-Marie will attend the competition.
“There’s so much excitement about the Squash Federation of Africa Seniors Championship such that the WSF top brass will be gracing our tournament. We are also working round the clock to make sure that we stage a memorable tournament,” said Mlilo. — @ZililoR
