AWARD winning comedian from Bulawayo Frank Chirisa is set to release a comedy special themed ‘Funny Stories That Heal’ on 27 November.
The comedy special is from his one-man show that he had in August at the Bulawayo Theatre.
In an interview, Chirisa highlighted that the comedy special will be available on various media platforms.
“I will release two projects and these are a book and a comedy special. The comedy special will be available on pay per view exclusively for three weeks and will be made available to television stations and YouTube,” he said.
Chirisa stated that he had an opportunity to tour a number of cities in the country and perform.
“This year, l was bent on breaking every limitation that was hanging over my career. My goal was to take my craft to other cities in preparation for the tour that I am set to have next year,” he said.
“We were operating on a zero budget from the first show to the last one and we relied on ticket sales. I am glad that I finished this tour having gained a lot of experience on curating events and handling different crowds,” he said.
He added that he is excited about his book that is sent to be released this month.
“I am also releasing a book titled Frankly Speaking which is about my background, my family and my experiences,” he said.
