This will take place at Greenwood Park Eye Centre, 175 Corner Fife Avenue and Eighth Street.
“Dr Kimball Woodward, a renowned vitreo-retinal surgeon and diabetes eye specialist from New York will be in attendance from Monday 20th to Friday 24th August 2012,” reads part of a joint statement released by the experts on Friday.
According to the Eye Health Centre diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in adults between 20 to 74.
