ENTERTAINMENT company, Rich & Famous, yesterday revealed that tickets for the much-anticipated Freeman shows are fast running out, three weeks before the gigs.
Freeman is set to land in Mzansi at the beginning of next month.
The shows have generated immense excitement, with early bird tickets already sold out. They have moved into the second batch of tickets albeit fears that the shows will be oversubscribed.
Lovemore Mubaiwa, also known as Luvrich, the mastermind behind Rich & Famous Entertainment, assured fans that preparations were in full swing and encouraged them to secure second phase tickets to avoid disappointment.
“We are urging fans to be proactive in ticket buying at Computicket as this enables smoother operations and crowd management. Selling tickets at the venue on the day of the event might not be possible.” said Mubaiwa yesterday.
The first show is set for the Kempton Park Civic Centre on Friday, August 4, 2023.
The tour will continue in Pretoria on Sunday, August 6, at Propaganda, featuring DJ Dee Vybz Birthday Bash.
One of the main attractions of the shows will be the live band, which will be backing Freeman.
Zimbabwean-based artists rarely have the opportunity to entertain fans in South Africa due to the substantial costs involved.
The upcoming shows, therefore, are eagerly awaited by the South African audience.
The events will feature renowned DJs, including award-winning DJ Irie Dread, DJ Dolla, DJ Chickan, Wenera, and Warriors.
Abra Simzz, Jah Gee, and T-Boss will serve as MCs, while Badman Gwans and Mbare Boys will host the shows.
“Rich & Famous recognises the importance of security and we have significantly increased our budget to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the thousands of expected attendees. We assure peace of mind as both fans and their property will be in safe hands,” said Mubaiwa.
