THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reduced diesel and blended petrol prices, providing further relief to motorists and businesses, while increasing the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
Under the latest review, diesel has dropped by US$ 0,12 and now costs US$1.87 per litre, while blended petrol (E20) has been reduced from US$1,98 to US$1.93 per litre.
LPG price has increased from US$1,96 to US$ 1,99.
In local currency, diesel will retail at a maximum price of ZWG 50.37 per litre, while Blend E20 will sell at ZWG 51.83 per litre.
The LPG will sell ZWG at 53.39.
In a statement yesterday, ZERA said prices were effective for two weeks.
“The petroleum prices are effective from 08 July 2026 for a period of two weeks. Government interventions continue to cushion consumers from the impact of global geopolitical developments,” ZERA said.
“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is at E20.
The latest reduction is expected to bring relief to consumers and industry as fuel is a key input in transportation, mining, manufacturing and agriculture.
ZERA said the blending ratio for petrol remains at E20 and urged operators to comply with fuel pricing regulations.
The authority said fuel operators are permitted to sell petroleum products below the prescribed prices, depending on their trading advantages.
