SOUTH Africa-based former Highlanders and Caps United winger Gabriel Nyoni is giving away one of his jerseys as a retirement gift to his fans.

Nyoni, who was forced into early retirement at the age of 29 after failing to fully recover from a foot injury he suffered last year, said a lucky Twitter follower will get a jersey on condition that no one likes their response.

“As part of my retirement gift I am giving away one of my jerseys to any lucky winner.

Follow, like, retweet and comment.

If no one likes your comment, you win.

Time period 12 hours.

Goodluck, delivery after two days,” tweeted Nyoni.

The former Bosso winger who suffered broken foot bones resulting in wires and pins being used to balance the bones inside his foot, has in his closet Bosso, Caps United, Maritzburg and Cap Umoya jerseys.

Nyoni moved to South Africa at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, joining Maritzburg United from Caps United.

He spent just a season with the KwaZulu-Natal club before moving to Cape Umoya in September 2020 after signing a two-year contract.
