MANICA Diamonds’ faltering season plunged to another low after they were knocked out of the Chibuku Super Cup by fellow strugglers, Agama in a preliminary round match played at Ngoni Stadium early this afternoon.
The match had ended goalless after regulation time and went straight into the penalty shootout lottery.
The Gems Boys missed their second spot kick, while their opponents converted all theirs to send the Mutare outfit tumbling out of the knockout tournament.
Agama now proceed to face MWOS in the first round of the competition.
In the other preliminary round match, TelOne defeated Triangle 5-3 on penalties following a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes to proceed to the first round where they will play against Dynamos.
