GEMMA Griffiths recently wowed fans when she performed songs off her Extended Play titled ‘‘A Girl from Harare’’ with her band at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare.

She released three videos of the EP, which were also filmed at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, with her band.

She could not hide her elation after the event went according to plan.

Her refreshing song, Don’t Worry, won the hearts of many at the event.

“Honestly, it’s one of my favourite tracks on the project and just in case you were wondering, I am not looking for a man,” said.

The project was filmed by Zetu Productions and directed by Marc Neilson.

She said travelling is what inspired her to write the EP as she had different experiences every week.

“Days filled with adventure, is how I wrote my EP, this is how the music came to me and I’m so grateful of the life I have already lived,’’ she said.

“One of my favourite things about writing this EP had to be the moments of clarity.

“I wanted to tell some of the stories that stuck with me during the process.

“Stories of people I connected with, of places I experienced, of dreams I was having.

“Stories of nostalgia and expectations, of mistakes and of victories.

“Before I wrote them down, I would just be with them. Just me and the stories,”  she added.
