Gen Mujuru died in an inferno at his farmhouse in Beatrice in August last year. The Mujuru family wants to bring in a South African expert Dr Perumel whom they say has indicated he would be free to come to Zimbabwe.
Presiding magistrate Mr Walter Chikwanha, however, said he will only consider the family’s request to bring in a foreign pathologist after the local expert who first examined the remains testifies in court.
He said it was his prerogative to subpoena witnesses and in pursuance of this mandate he had already subpoenaed all the witnesses whom he thinks were relevant.
