RONALD “Gidiza” Sibanda was not part of Dynamos’ historic Champions League campaign in 1998 when the Glamour Boys reached the final and lost to ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire, Zimpapers Sport has established.

A statement by the club on Tuesday said he was part of that trailblazing squad but we have established that he was not part of that team.
Sunday Chidzambwa, who coached that team, also confirmed that Gidiza was not part of the troops who came within 90 minutes of becoming African champions.

The ex-Warriors, AmaZulu, Zimbabwe Saints and FC Windermere midfield genius was on Tuesday unveiled as DeMbare’s team manager to take over from Harry Lusengo.
Lusengo is son of DeMbare board chairman Bernard Marriot Lusengo.
