THE family of the late “King of Bling” Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure said it ticked all the boxes, as demanded by tradition, including paying condolences to Moana’s family, after the tragic road accident four years ago.
Ginimbi and Moana were killed in that car crash.
This week, Moana’s father, Ishmael Amuli, said he was never consoled after the death of his daughter.
Speaking to H-Metro, Ginimbi’s father, Anderson, told H-Metro,
“Hazvina munyati zvavari kutaura izvi. How can he say we did not pay our condolences to him?
“All those people they saw coming to them were officially from us, the Kadungure clan, saka zvakadhakwa zvavari kutaura izvo.”
Ginimbi’s cousin brother, Darlington Kadungure, said:
“If it is said that we did not pay condolences to Moana’s father, that accusation will be a bit tricky, unless if we are being accused of not paying condolences to the Moana family.
“I was part of the team that was ordered to come and take to Moana’s mother in Highfield what they had demanded from us, so that we conduct the funerals as one family.
“I did not proceed with this team after being called to Parirenyatwa Hospital, where the bodies were.
“I am sure something was paid there. But, Moana’s parents were not one family as they had allegedly separated.
“So, he might be right that the father might not have got the condolence messages, but they might have been received by Moana’s mother and her family.”

He said the Kadungure family contributed to a lot of the funeral expenses.
“We paid for coffins, food, all the tests and examinations and laboratory identifications.
“We went as a family to pay our condolences to the Mozambican girl’s parents at a hotel in Msasa.
“We talked and agreed with them that we were to meet all costs up to the Zimbabwe-Mozambique border, they said they would carry over from there to lessen the burden for us as we had four bodies on our shoulders.
“Innocent Dino Tumbare and Rimo Marimo were busy talking to the family of the Malawian guy.”
Ginimbi’s other cousin, who chose not to be named, told H-Metro:
“My elder brother, Baba Melody, is the one who physically delivered the money for the condolences, he works at Ximex Mall there in town.
“You can confirm with him, ndiye akatoendesa chema.”
