Girl (17) kidnapped, raped by two men

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two men in a parked car in Mt Pleasant on Saturday.

The victim was coming from Arundel Shopping Centre, where she had been sent, to buy groceries.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said the victim was referred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, for a medical examination.

“Police are investigating a rape case where two men took turns to rape a 17-year-old girl in a parked car along Chatsworth Road in Mt Pleasant,” said Insp Chakanza.

“The incident took place around 5pm when two men were reported to have disembarked from a Honda Fit vehicle and dragged the victim into the car.

“They are alleged to have driven the vehicle and parked it along the same road where they took turns to have protected sexual intercourse with the victim.

“The accused pushed the victim out of their vehicle and sped off,” he said.
