A nine-year-old girl died at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals after she was attacked by a pit bull on March 25 while passing by a house in Whitecliff in Harare.
She initially sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the hospital before succumbing to her injuries.
Police said they were investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, police in Maphisa, Matabeleland South, are also investigating a case of murder where a 68-year-old man was killed by two men who accused him of having an affair with the wife of one of the men.
Member Nyathi, 62, and Bruce Ngwenya, 22, accused Robert Maphosa of having an affair with Nyathi’s wife.
It is alleged that the duo struck the now deceased with an axe.
The two buried Maphosa’s body in a sorghum field to conceal their offence.
Investigations led to the arrest of Nyathi and Ngwenya
