A super-talented 11-year-old girl has been hailed after scoring eight units in the ZIMSEC Grade 7 examinations.

Angela Mudimu skipped Grade 6 this year to go to Grade 7 at Bright Daisies Academy in Chitungwiza.

Angela is the daughter of senior photojournalist, Tawanda Mudimu, who works in the Office of the President and Cabinet.

Angela is over the moon following her academic achievement, and attributed her success to her supportive parents.

“My parents have been my pillar of strength. They are so supportive. My dream is to go and study abroad and become a pilot. “The results didn’t shock me as I was expecting them because I am a star. I didn’t face any challenges, as I am a bookworm,” she said.

The founder and principal of Bright Daisies Academy, Daisy Mukariri, told H-Metro that her school’s policy includes grooming bright students, among other priorities.

“It is actually our culture to groom stars by allowing them to skip grades, save for 2021 which was affected by Covid-19.

“We had five students who skipped grades and wrote their Grade 7 in 2020 and they all passed with flying colours,” said Mukariri.
