A GOLD panner has been arrested after he stabbed a man, who later died, in full view of other patrons at a nightclub in Southley Park.
Wellington Gomo is said to have used a kitchen knife to stab Casper Madzora in full view of the club manager and other patrons. Cephas was 42.
The incident took place at Club Tabula at the Candy Shopping Centre.
Casper was stabbed once on the neck and once under the chin with a kitchen knife which had a wooden handle.
Wellington dropped the knife, walked out of the nightclub and disappeared into the dark.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case.
“Police arrested a man in connection with murder in Southley Park.
“A kitchen knife, with a wooden handle, was recovered next to the body.
“The body was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital mortuary.”Investigations are in progress,” said Insp Chakanza.
