Zimbabwe’s Under-20 national handball team delivered a golden performance, edging Mozambique 36–32 to clinch the title, while the Under-18 side settled for silver after a narrow 28–29 loss to hosts Zambia in their respective finals at the IHF Zone 6 Trophy competitions held at OYDC today.

The Under-20 side had booked their place in the final after a hard-fought 36–34 victory over Zambia in a tightly contested semi-final clash. Meanwhile, the Under-18 team produced a commanding display in their last-four encounter, thrashing Namibia 47–14 to secure their spot in the final.

The Under-20 triumph marks a significant milestone for Zimbabwean handball, with the team bringing the trophy home and underlining the country’s growing dominance in the region.
