The veteran coach believes the team will compete favourably in the competition and has thrown her support behind the players as they start camp this morning at Royal Harare.
Muridzo, who hails from a golfing family, is now based at Police were she conducts some practice lessons.
She is the daughter of Lewis Muridzo.
“Generally the team is good and we are looking forward to having a good run in the tournament. There are few changes to the teams that were taking part lately,” said Muridzo.
“I think I understand most of the players’ strength and weaknesses, so it will not be much of a problem.
“The selection committee did a splendid job by coming up with the teams and we hope all will go on well.”
The teams are made up mostly of young golfers but they have played in several international events.
“We have a team that has young players who are still willing to learn and with the level of commitment they have shown they can do the job for us.
“We are not taking chances and practicing at Royal will familiarise the players with a course with standards just as good as the one where they will play.
“Three players — Loice Chingono, Batsirai Tilowakuti and Yollander Mubaiwa — will take part in the finals while Shamiso Makwara will travel for the junior development programme.”
