ZIBABWE Olympic Committee have appointed the chefs de mission for the African Youth Games, Youth Olympic Games and African Schools Games.
Second-time ZOC board member Charmaine Chamboko was appointed chef de mission for both the Africa Youth Games scheduled for December 10 to 20 in Angola, this year and the Dakar 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
The Youth Olympic Games are due to take place from October 31 to November 13, 2026 in Dakar, Senegal.
The Dakar Games will mark the first time the YOG is held on African soil.
Newman Gomendo was appointed chef de mission for the inaugural African Schools Games, taking place in Algeria from July 26 to August 5, 2025.
The Schools Games aim to promote youth development, identify talent, and uphold Olympic values.
