Gondo wins Hwange Chaferfly Open tourney

Yesterday Gondo failed to hold his nerve as he dropped shots in the second round.
His impressive six under on the first round, however, helped him to win the title on an aggregate score of four under par 144.
Gondo walked away with US$3 600 while Nyasha Muyambo and Ignatius Mketekeke were tied in second position, three shots behind Gondo.
Muyambo recorded scores of 71 and 70 to a mark his best finish of the season while Mketekete sunk 72 and 69.
Both golfers went home US$ 2 070 richer.
On fourth place was veteran Roy da Costa on 75 and 69 while last year’s winner Tongo Charamba finished in fifth place with scores of 75 and 71 to pocket US $1 440.
The tournament had 33 professional golfers but it was Gondo who came out victorious.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean golfer Brendon de Jonge was tied on sixth position going into the last round of the MCGladrey Classic at Sea Side Course in Georgia, United States.
