Although Miss P admits that it is still early days to make any predictions, she is convinced that the duo’s good looks could earn them a few points in the reality show.
“They are both pretty and I know that’s one of the things followers of Big Brother look for, so we’ve got that one,” she told Showbiz.
The house has a new look this time around with a few changes to the rules. The last person to leave the Big Brother house after 91 days will walk away with US$300 000 in cash.
However, this time, the contestants have more opposition following the addition of seven celebrities.
Big Brother Africa StarGame has a record 35 contestants, all vying for the grand prize. Miss P noted that one cannot be sure of how things are going to turn out.
“We can’t say anything because it’s too early.
“A lot can happen. It’s a new turf, more interesting — I don’t know — we’ll only get to find out in week two. Big Brother has a new twist every year — that’s why we still watch it every year,” she added.
The house has been divided into two sections — Upville and Downville.
The luxurious Upville started off as home to the seven African celebrities, while the other 28 contestants lived in Downville.
Another first for the reality show is that housemates from Downville were allowed to enter the competition in pairs.
This year’s housemates have been drawn from Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The celebrity housemates include stand-up comedian and television presenter DKB from Ghana, rapper Prezzo from Kenya, award-winning songstress Lady May from Namibia, pop music sensation Goldie from Nigeria, musician Roki from Zimbabwe, South African model Barbz and Zambian RnB singer Mampi. — DStv.
