Renowned urban grooves artiste and television host Goodchild, real name Alexio Gwenzi, is set to launch his new single entitled ‘‘U and I’’, tomorrow at Pariah State, Avondale.
He is known for his Saturday show on ZBC TV dubbed ‘‘Coke on the Beat’’ which he co-hosts with radio personalities who include Butterphly, Napstar and MisRed among others.
The launch will coincide with the musician’s birthday party which will see top local musicians in attendance. Goodchild said he was happy that he had finished the single and the release will coincide with the party.
“I am hosting my birthday party together with friends who have helped me to do it. I have been in the studio and it was long overdue to release the track,” he said.
He said the event is a red carpet affair and guest will be treated to some top entertainment. Some of the artist billed to perform include Trevor Dongo, Stunner, Roki, ExQ, Xtralarge, Taurai Mandebvu and Mudiwa among others.
The event will see top disc jockeys who include Dee Nosh, Maxxy, Trae Yung and Tafmiles taking turns on the turntables
Goodchild’s new single was produced by Oskid at Kenako.
