during a family show organised by resurgent musician Leonard Zhakata.
The gig, to be held on Saturday afternoon in the Harare Gardens, will feature the likes of Stunner and Tryson Chimbetu.
This will be one of those rare appearances by Mutsvene ever since a trail of controversy dogged her career.
Fans in and around Harare who have been yearning to see the diva live in action will have a chance to sample her new album “Tongai”, which was recorded in Mzansi last year.
Mutsvene featured prominent South African gospel artiste Buhle on the album.
Her appearance at Zhakata’s gig will add variety to the show, which is going to be a mixed bag of different music genres ranging from Zora, dendera, gospel to urban grooves.
Mutsvene has been performing outside Harare since March in an effort to promote the album but this time around she takes her act to where the majority of her fans are based.
What makes Mutsvene’s performance at the gig worthwhile is that fans will want to see how she will fare following accusations of plagiarism.
The resilient diva who has a catalogue of hit songs and albums to her name will be out to be prove that she is still a force to reckon with in local gospel music circles when she represents the gospel music world at the show.
Stunner of the “Team Hombe” fame will also be out in full force and stamp his authority as one of the country’s gifted young contemporary artistes.
Tryson Chimbetu, whose graph has been on a steady increase, will represent the Dendera genre.
But without doubt all eyes will be on man of the moment, Leonard Zhakata, who is basking in the glory of the success of his new album, “Gotwe – Last Born”.
The album is currently doing well on the airwaves and has already claimed pole position at Metro Studios.
