Renowned gospel disc jockey Fungai Kampira affectionately known as Gospel Dj Unlocked is set to return to Zimbabwe for the Gospel Legends Night in December.

The organisers of the event have confirmed the latest development that Dj Unlocked will be in the country at the end of the month ahead of the show on December 7 at the Rainbow Towers in Harare.

Dj Unlocked who is now based in the United Kingdom said he is happy to be part of the line-up.

“I am excited to be invited to share my creative skills with the legends,” she said.

“I know I am not yet a legend but I grew up listening to some of them and I love their songs. It is a dream come true having them performing live because we just used to play their music at shows but now I think will have to change my playlist and this time will play the new kids on the block so they will hear what and how the music has evolved.”

The Gospel Legends Night concert has a stellar line up which include, Pastor Charles Charamba and wife Olivia, Pastor G, Prince Mafukidze, Pastor Haisa, Carol Mujokororo, Fungisai Mashavave, Shuvai Wutaunashe, Baba Mechanic Manyeruke, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle and Sipho Makhabane among others.

The concert is hosted by United Kingdom-based gospel diva Eleana Makombe who in an interview said preparations for the show are at an advanced stage.

“We are happy with the progress so far and tickets have started selling. The team on the ground is running day and night and what I can say is I am grateful to God,” she said.

“However we would like to thank the stakeholders who came on board and we still calling for others to join for this to be a successful event.

“We will be making announcements as days go by updating our fans on the latest development. Dj Unlocked was by public demand and we are happy to bring her back home.”
